Snap, Crackle and Pop

Being a recent UAD-1 customer, I noticed that after applying at least a few Powered Plug-Ins, I get a crackling out of my speakers.

I'm very surprised since the UAD-1 memory is reading 25% and my CPU is not even 50%.

I run Cubase SX3 on a MacG5 running OS10.3.8.

Is this a case of strain on my card?

THANKS.

Drew

It sounds like a PCI Bus issue. Try lowering the PCI Latency of the UAD. Open the UAD-1 Performance Meter under File > Configuration. You'll see PCI Bus and in that section MIN_GNT: 128 just lower that number and test the song. I have mine set as low as 8 and all my Pops went away.

TRACE :)
