Softube Console 1 Fader — is there any way to remove, hide, or reorder channels in "Apollo Central" mode?

There's a bunch of channels I'm not using, that I can easily hide in the "Console.app" interface; but they're still taking up space on my Console 1 Fader. I've tried poking around the On-Screen Display, adjusting my I/O matrix in Console.app, hiding channels … but nothing seems to get rid of them.

The channels I care about are all scattered around between the unused ones, making me change pages often on the Console 1 Fader. ;_;

There is not. It will always see all channels.

its totally frustrating having 8 adat channels you're not using ruining your fader count of Console fader and closing up the GUI (which incidentally looks like it was designed in 1992 by someone on their first day at work) For the price they charge for these the software interface is just appalling. regardless of all the hype and top dollar they are merely a controller, and one with some serious design issues. ever wonder why there's so many on the secondhand market.

Bad obvious design fault on such an expensive bit of gear. it should just follow the Console screen, otherwise the automatic muscle memory they blurb on about is just not there. Channel 8 on Console is channel 17 on Console Fader....really useful for a supposed time saving device.

Be sure to let Softube know what you'd like to see in their product.

If you link the ADAT ones or any unused ones as stereo it at least reduces the unused faders, but it’s soooo frustrating

I’ve talked to softube about this. They say their mixer matches what UAD supplies from the Apollo console software. I think the only way this is solved is to have the ability to configure the UAD channels in a custom way in the apollo console.

The good news is that you can configure the UAD I/O how you want for DAW use and the Luna channels do match the softube console 1 channels one to one.

The main frustration (for me) is having the ADAT and Spdif channels, which I never use and don’t see I ever will, and have permanently hidden, ruin the workflow totally. if you could put virtual channels before them on UA console it’d certainly help. At least linking the ADAT channels drops 8 useless strips to 4

There is any way to switch between monitor to ALT monitors using Console 1 mkii in Apollo Central mode?

Was thinking of getting one of these until I noticed this exact post. Was wondering if this shortcoming still exists. If it does, I was curious if anyone could tell me if the following scenario works:

The way I have my X8 configured results in 15 faders total in UAD console (even though some I keep hidden usually), the first 10 being analog and ADAT, and the last 5 being SPDIF and 4 virtual pairs. I'm assuming the softtube will show the analog + adat as the 10 faders listed, and if i hit the PAGE right button, it'll switch to the remaining 5 and readjust the faders accordingly? Figured I'd ask to be absolutely sure since I haven't seen anything about the PAGE button in apollo central mode anywhere.

@thekrynn I've got their newest ones, the Mk.III Fader & Channel (which are fantastic in every single way, by the way); and yes, there's still no way in either @UniversalAudio's software nor Softube's to actually control _what_ channels appear on the Softube hardware, nor the ordering, nor their displayed names:

I sent another support-request; thus far, Softube has been really excellent about support w/ other issues in the past. They've explicitly turned me down on this topic many years back, but I'm hoping that revisiting it in the era of the Mk.III might have some effect. It's really my only remaining issue with their products, it's otherwise one of the best pieces of hardware I own.
