My Sonnet Firewire 800 card got fried (I know I know, I still use Firewire…) I have been running my UAD system on that for quite a while, and it still works great. It seems the Sonnet cards are no longer available though, which is a bummer. Does anyone have any experience with any other Firewire 800 cards working well with UAD satellites? I suspect not, but it is worth a shot to ask.
I need a cross platform DSP option. I use Windows (studio) and Mac (mobile mixing etc.) It seems the USB-C satellites don’t work with Mac and the Thunderbolt DSP satellites don’t work with most Windows machines. I don’t know what to do. I have a ton of UAD licenses & a quad DSP satellite with Firewire and now I can’t use them at all, except for what’s available on UADx native now, which is cool.
Dammit I hate computers.
