Anyone experiencing issues with this update? I'm not critically concerned because I don't do audio for a living, but I noticed BFD3 authentication is broken, Cubase doesn't get past plugin scans, LUNA crashed multiple times while loading and loaded EXTREMELY slow, Safari has locked up on basic webpages numerous times, Tunnelblick (a VPN prog I use to connect to my office) doesn't recognized my server anymore, and a myriad of other things.

Just thought I'd reach out and see if others are having similar issues. Since I'm not using this computer as much until my studio is built, I'm not super concerned "yet". However, if anyone has any fixes / tweaks that helps, I'd love to know. My computer is an M1 Studio Mac with 128GB Ram.

As always, thanks!

I noticed one of my drives is running and I'm not accessing files on it. Mac Disk Utility won't repair it. I'm dumping files now. I'll disconnect after. It could be the culprit.

Thanks for confirming it probably isn't the OS. Just weird it started right after I updated.

If the external drive has USB controller; one of the bugs in 14.4 that was "fixed" in 14.4.1 was related to broken USB stuff, like iLOk key, etc. -- you might try old skool thing of connecting to different port if external drive. If not external drive, then I just wasted your time (LOL). :) Was just a thought.

Mac mini M2 Pro and MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro with zero issues under macOS 14.4.1 using Logic and roughly one million plugins through an Apollo Twin Quad and two Satellite Quads with the latest UA software drivers.

Somebody pinch me!

In the middle of a BFD3 dump. It's taking forever. When/if it finishes I will try that.

I'm waiting to see what kind of responses this thread produces. It would be great if all issues are fixed... am I dreaming? 🥴

While my Luna still loads a tad slow, it appears the root of my problems was bad data on the hard drive. I couldn't get Disk Utility to fix the errors until I pulled off the data to erase the drive. I removed one partition on the drive, then erased/reformatted. After that, I ran Disk Utility and all the errors were fixed. I didn't mess with moving around USB devices. Prior to any of this, the drive light was lighting up rather constantly as if a program was trying to access it, which is my belief on what caused the bulk of all my issues. I haven't loaded any data back to the drive, but all the problems I was experienced are gone, i.e. Cubase/Luna doesn't crash and BFD3 boots up again.

Thanks for weighing in.

Hi! :)

Right now I am doing a clean installation, like every year, of the operating system (Somoma 14.4.1) and all the software in my home studio, so far everything is going well, I will continue to report... Greetings... ;)
