Sonoma 14.5: Are we cool then?

So is it safe to update to Sonoma 14.5 yet? I have not upgraded to Logic 11. After that last one-two punch of OS update and mission-critical Logic, I'm waiting it out until I hear the all clear.

No problem with Sonoma 14.5 so far, both on Intel and Silicon.
Logic 11 keeps crashing on my Intel system when I close it. This is not really stable yet.

That's just on Intel though, right? It's not crashing here BUT I haven't upgraded to 14.5 yet. No need that I can tell.

Yes, right. I don’t care that much because it’s after quitting the application. But still annoying.

I hear ya. I'm one of those people that really likes to keep "up to date" but FFS, after the 14.4 debacle, I dunno that I should. 11 is great so far here on the silicon Mac.

How is UAd on the Intel Mac running the latest Sonoma?

One of my pals, Dave, is using Logic everyday on M1 Max Macbook Pro, using latest Sonoma. I'm still on Ventura due to a few apps not yet fully up to date on my side. It's not the bugbox that 14.4 was !

No instabilities so far, but I've been working exclusively with the 2500, Studer, Api and 1073 consoles for the last few days. Songs in work for now, not as much heavy use as in mixing state.

Hi,

All good here so far - M1 mini, Sonoma 14.5, Logic Pro 11, all UA and other audio DAWs/plug-ins up to date.

only stupid bug is the update screen doesn't show you what's new .... oh, Apple, too bad you cannot afford beta testers ... sigh ...

Doesn't look like much.....

Maybe that's why it isn't causing so many issues? I'll update right now......wish me luck. Maybe the "ipad" thing will help with some niggles....

Yeah you do, M2 seems to be the way to go.....M3 seems to be more "photoshop" etc based.

Can’t agree with you there. M3s are also a powerhouse with audio production.

Funny because I keep hearing they are not as good. Oh well, if I'm wrong I'm wrong.

If there is one thing I have learned about YouTube influencers it is most of them are full of crap. They tell you that something is not good for audio production and yet they don’t have a good set up for it.

I have been using mine for almost 6 months and Logic’s performance is mindblowing.
