Sphere DLX "in-use" questions

I love the mic. I've had it for about 6 months. I am getting used to the workflow but I have a lot of questions.
For example:

When post-processing and committing to the effect chain in Console do I still need to use a stereo track in my DAW (Logic)? and

Do I lose any quality or sonic characteristics by using a mono track without Sphere, in this case?

What's the proper way to add effects in Console before or after the Sphere plugin? Could I use a unison preamp plugin? or should Sphere be in the unison slot

1. Depends on if your using stereo effects in the chain. If not, then no.
2. Depends on if you’re using stereo effects in the chain. If not, then no.
3. Depends on whether or not you want to print the effects.

Firstly, You cannot use a Sphere plugin in a Unison slot. You can use a preamp in the Unison slot, I often do with my Sphere’s. Unison slots are ALWAYS printed regardless of the status of the red/blue print slots indicator.

If you want to print any effects like reverb, add them after the Sphere plugin. If you simply want to monitor the effects but not print them, use the aux sends.
