Sphere Mic Collection (Native)

I did a search before posting this, so I hope I'm not duplicating.

I just came across the fact that the Mic Collection now runs natively and it's currently on sale for $49.

My question is: Is this the 20-mic models found with the LX, or is it fewer yet?

Thanks in advance.

I don't own the microphone. It says that you don't need to, and I own a different modeling mic.
I'm not sure what you're trying to do but the Sphere, I think, is a bit different than most modeling mics in that it's got two capsules. I'm sure you could use the Sphere plugin with a different mic, and it will change the sound... but it won't vaguely mirror the emulations without the mic I guess.

What I'm trying to do is get information on the product regarding how many mic models there are.

UAD wouldn't sell it as a Native plug-in if it didn't work with other modeling mics. The product page says that it can (although it recommends the Sphere). What it doesn't say is how many (or which) mics are modeled.

Can I use the Sphere plug-in on material recorded with some other microphone?
No. The Sphere plug-in is specifically designed and calibrated to work with the Sphere microphones.

I'm sure that any modeling microphone with a flat response (the SD ML-1(A), for example) would be fine for it.

If the software was intended only for the Sphere, then they wouldn't sell it - it would just be included with the product when you buy the mic. But they do sell it. They just don't tell you what's included.

If you don't have an answer for the question, then I thank you for your time.

the reason why they sell it - is for engineers who are mixing a project recorded with a sphere mic.

There's a sticky in this forum with the info you're looking for - https://uadforum.com/community/index.php?threads/sphere-lx-dlx-l22-modeled-microphone-lists.77680/

I made it because, you're right, there's not a list anywhere anymore.

Regardless of some of the comments, of course you can make it work. BUT, don't expect accuracy in regards to the emu's. Nevertheless, you may find a sound you like, so why not have at it and see if it works for you and come back and let us know.
