First time Luna user here. I recently purchased Spitfire Strings V1.0.0 but it will not operate in Luna. When opened, it reads 'Unable to initialize instrument'. In the notifications section of Luna, it reads 'The system configuration has changed, 1 plug-in failed to load'. When I click on download on the Spitfire Strings option in UA Connect, nothing happens. Occasionally, UA Connect lists it as 'Installed', though sometimes it will give me the download option, but it reads 'Installing...' and will not finish downloading. I tried deleting it and starting over, but no luck. Other plug ins such as Shape were downloaded and operate successfully. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t believe that Spitfire instruments are supposed to show in UA Connect (they don’t here)…is that correct Drew? The Spitfire Instruments are show in the plugin list within Luna itself. The Spitfire Instruments work as expected here so I don’t have any idea what is wrong with your particular situation. Wish I had more to offer.

Be sure to get a ticket open with Support, they'll have things for you to try. Go to help.uaudio.com, click on the blue Support bot and type “create ticket”

You are correct. I did not look there, only on the plugin page where the other instruments are.

I am seeing what you are seeing -- the plugin shows that it is downloaded under Luna Connect, and even comes up when called, but says "will not intialize" when I try to use a patch. I would like to get all 3 as a bundle this month during the special, but the trial has to work first . . .

After a few email exchanges with support staff, a solution has unfortunately not been found yet on my end.
I'm updating my macbook to Sonoma this week, so we'll see if that changes anything!

no, still does not work. Please let me know if it works on the updated Mac. Otherwise I'll ask for refund.

I have an issue with my two Spitfire libraries in Luna as well.
Fortunately I have other strings and winds that I can use.
Apparently the issue is not widespread and not confined to a specific OS or chipset. I’m running Sonoma on an intel machine and I just noticed it maybe a week ago.

I just fired up a new MAC M4 and migrated everything over,,, could be that it's not finding the libraries though they are showing up, as icons anyway, in the UC connect and I re-scanned everything.

Follow-up,,, UAD released some updates for Spitfire and it appears to have worked. They had me move everything over to the iLok and I haven't tested it yet on the cloud or machine but it's working off the iLok so I'm happy.
