Stuck in reboot loop after installing latest update - 1.6 Supplemental on Sonoma 14.5

On Sonoma 14.5 - only thing I changed was installing the latest 1.6 supplemental update. After that the Luna and the Console app became unresponsive after I quit Luna. Trying to reboot to get things going, my system kept just rebooting after a partial boot after logging in - i.e it would boot, I put in my password, then it would shutdown and reboot. I know sometimes updates require a couple of boots but after the third time I knew something was wrong.

The only way I as able to fully boot my system was to disable Third Party System Extensions using the Startup Disk Security Tool and then removing the UAD2System.kext. So I'm able to boot consistently now but I cannot use Luna. I tried re-installing using UA Connect but it doesn't seem to be reinstalling the UADSystem kext. Luna app does the same thing - launches but never opens, have to Force Quit it.

Also Console app never loads - I just get 'Not Responding' over and over again and have to Force Quit it.

Also - the UA Connect app is cool when everything works well but there should be some option to do a full re-install vs. just downloading the latest app version. Several audio-related installers have a 'Repair' option, which make sure everything the app needs is in place, almost like a quick re-install, or if you use the 'Remove' option then a full install must be done, that's the only option they give you.

Right now I'm basically stuck. Gonna try installing using the 1.5 installer to see if that will get things going.

I went through something similar, where my hardware would change order mid-session and switch to Core Audio. I had to reinstall a few times.

The solution that's worked so far is manually downloading the software, bypassing UA Connect. It's slower, but it seems to have temporarily fixed the issue. Not sure what's causing the problem, though.

Ended up having to do a full OS Reinstall to get stable again.

How do you download the latest software manually? The Download area points you to UA Connect installer for latest version.

Also, downloading the 1.5 version from the Download area only gives you the Luna App, it doesn't reinstall everything. I'm going to assume I have to do the manual 'delete all the settings and prefs' to force it to actually reinstall? There should be a better way to force the reinstallation of any OS bits that are needed for the application work.
