Summing & Tapes in Channel Strips not using DSPs

Hi all

Got myself my first UAD hardware gear, the UAD2 Satellite TB3. I works fine with UAD2 plugins I add into the insert, including Studer A800, Oxide etc. However, the summing and the tapes in the channel strip do NOT make use of any DSPs:

Apparently, all plugins already are DSP versions, here's what I get when I try Menu > Mixing > "Convert UADx > UAD2"

Why is this?

Additional info: I've got no Apollo interfaces, the only UAD hardware I've got is that UAD-2 Satellite

Thanks in advance.

 O dear, I've got myself the Satellite for that very reason :-( Are there any DSP plugins for summing + taping as a substitute for that?
Oxide, Studer and Amprex all have DSP tape insert plugins. API and Neve channels have have DSP insert plugins. API 2500 has a DSP insert. There is no summing amp option for DSP.

O well ... at least a workaround. However, I'd preferred DSP versions in the channel strips, which would make them by far more feeling real. Anyways, gonna torture my CPUs then and find something to do for the new 8 DSPs.

Not sure what you mean by this.

You can use the DSP counterparts of the Luna extensions (Studer, Oxide, Ampex... API Vision Channel, etc) and they will behave exactly like the CPU versions. The only difference is where you want the computations to take place.

*the exception being that there is no native CPU version of the summing extensions.

It's about the look and feel. I don't want to have 12 plugin windows open with 12 channels. I want the console look-and-feel, overview over all.

That Sat will run the 160 plugins that aren't native while your CPU is handling the Extensions.
