Talkback mic not working?

For a few years now I've had no issues using the talkback mic on my Apollo Twin. I press the button, it dims the mix and musicians can hear my voice in their headphones. Recently I added an Apollo x8p to my system and since then the talkback feature has not worked. It doesn't work on my twin or clicking the "Talk" button on the talkback channel in Luna. I even configured the "FCN" button on the x8p to enable talkback but it doesn't work. To clarify, the "Talk" button lights up I see a signal in the talkback meter and the monitors are dimmed (the headphones are NOT dimmed) but my voice is not heard through headphones or the monitors.

Is there a trick to using the talkback mic with multiple apollos? Is there are a way to route the talkback channel to the headphone outs?

After posting this, I discovered that if I copied the mix to Cue 1, and deselect "Mix" under Cue 1 in the Cue Outputs I do hear the talkback mic when enabled, but the mix is no longer dimmed. How can I have the headphone mix include the talkback channel and be dimmed? I feel this just worked for me out of the box when I just used my Twin.

I don't use the TB, but I'll see if it works as expected with my multi Apollo rig.
