Thomas the train is leaving soon

My 5 year old son noticed that his older brother (7 years old) does not like playing with his Thomas the train set anymore. So guess what, now he is not motivated to play with it either. Change....., I am glad our kids grow up, but sometimes we don't enjoy what we have now when it's right in front of us. Later we regret not spending more time when the opportunity is gone. Tonight, no recording.. I will go home and play trains with my son, before that opportunity is no longer there. :)

I remember my son watching Thomas the Tank, way back when Ringo Starr and George Carlin were narrating. Thomas was cool....

I have a three year old little girl. She has a a little Thomas train set too. ;) Every day I catch myself about to pass up an oppourtunity to connect with her in a way and at a time that will never happen again...

Thanks for the reminder.

I had a similair thing.... ove the last 3 years I sold all my analog gear thinking digital was as good. The last 3 months I bought Yamaha CS-5, CS-15, CS-30, Studio Electronics SE-1, Korg MS-20, Esnoniq SQ-80 and a phasor pedal.

Seems like we all dump things for the newer toys when really what we have is just fine.

Nice post, made me take a day off from the stuido to spend some time with humans.

Good post Revelation. I've had simlar experiences in the past. Several years ago I was awakened when I narrowly escaped death, only to notice that I remembered working a lot more than I should have been. Since then I go to work and do the BARE MINIMUM, and I get my ass where is belongs - Home. There I find the people I am really working for. Trust me, when you see your blood pressure dip to 80/40 it makes you think a lot.

Someone i know, 28 years old, has been playing with a UAD for soome time now, but he's noticed some people are playing with digidesign and urs... and i'm worried he'll move on to other toys...

i fear he may be about to lose interest in his UAD, so tonight, i'm just going to record... no train sets, before i lose that simple pleasure...
