Thunderbolt cable

Hi everyone, I should buy a thunderbolt cable for my Apollo x8... the cable I've used so far is thunderbolt 3 but it's short and I need a longer one. Is Thunderbolt 4 also good? Is a non-Apple one okay too? Thanks for your help

TB3 or 4 is good. I'd stick with the name brands.

I've used:
Apple
Belkin
OWC
Startech

all without any issues.

I use only Apple and OWC cables with zero issues in my rigs. The physical spec and internal circuitry are extremely complex so I would not use anything but the best cables from the best companies. My mom told me to never buy cheap tires or shoes, and to that list I added cables. :giggle:

I have a Dell Thunderbolt monitor that is more picky than Apollo, which is why when troubleshooting Thunderbolt I usually use a Dell cable.
