Hello,
I just wanted to share the way I solved this problem with you. At least with the Cubase SX users amongst you.
I recognized these noises for the first time while I was working with the precission multiband. Changing PCI slots did not help, latency changes dto.
Then I found out that I used Baterry 1 on this project. Using the multiband in the Battery channel: lots of popping and crackle, using it on the output bus: less crackles and pops, then I freezed the Battery track: No crack and pops at all. Unfreezing the track brought the crackle back. I then checked the box \"old host behaviour\" for battery within cubase No crackle at all.
Maybe this helps for some. Just look at your vsti's and check out if it helps to turn on \"old host behaviour\"an certain vsti's.
Alex
