I was working on something having a female voice track and back vocals + a stereo track having a heavy processed (delay-detune-verb-etc) guitar, so, I dropped PulTone on the guitar track, turn the knob at 250 (good on 500 too) and slowly cut & cut & cut..., Wouaoo! The mud was going out in an amazing way, and both vocals and guitar just played so well together. Really sweet it is... Tried to reproduce with the Pultec Pro, Neve, etc..., no luck...

Yeah - I was interested in trying these out, however the demo does that stupid thing where it plays a tone every 15 seconds or so, thus making the plugs useless and annoying to demo in a practical scenario.

My feelings on the Pultone is that it's really good as an effect type filter, but I'm not really feeling it on the subtlety tip.

Indeed, can be a very usefull filter, the kind that you know in a minute if it is what you are looking for, and with very good result if it is!
Upset either about that obsolete x-second tone demoing.
