UA Connect: plugs off ?

I have managed my ua ilok authorities so they are not on the cloud, but over the last 2 weeks on three occasions my ua plugs ins did not work. I see a sort of greyed out gui in my session, that's it, no sound.

Sometimes I can get ua connect to open and it seems to need me to reinstall plug ins.

Or I just see the spinning blue load circle and ua connect doesn't open ?

Each time, I could instantiate a logic plug in, say compressor or b3, and they worked perfectly, UA not so much.

Why is this happening ?

This lack of reliability is concerning.

UA Connect is the drunk at the corner of the bar. It would make sense that it gets worst around the festive season to be fair…

Anyway, you do not need it in your life. Apply ‘UA Disconnect’ (see my sig) and only invite it in when you can see it hasn’t wet its pants, preferably when you’re not in the middle of a session, and only if it brings you a present i.e new plugin/port.

This is one of many reasons why I had refused to use Luna due to UA's instance on iLok ... now they've bungled it further and made all their UADx rely on it too ... such a horrible decision to tie all our tits to iLok ... and now UA can't even adequately support it

Well, I just load my authorizations on my recording computer: hardly ever have ilok problems.
