UA CS-1 vs. the Mighty! Neve 88rs

I'm at work and can't compare the 2 against each other. Somebody make sure this isn't the CS-1 with a face lift and extra features. PLEASE. Plec billy Paul Matt. SOME BODY.. Null me, baby!

Doing blind-tests is just plain boring!
I will have a rave-review ready by tomorrow night though, that's for sure!!!

Although... come to think of it.
I might do a blind-test between Waves SSL and the Neve 88RS! I'm really really keen on finding out what kind of difference in quality we're talking about and how they complement eachother. Especially in the dynamics section. I've never really liked the compression in the SSL Ch, cool for the odd thing.. but when going for \"snap\" the Neve 33609 have always sounded a lot better to me. So I'm very curious how the compressor in this strip compares to both the 33609 and the SSL Channel.

EQ wise I won't even bother since they are probably very different. The SSL channel EQ is just da bomb for certain stuff that I do and just can't do without it ever! I doubt the Neve 88RS EQ will do a similar thing, but I know it will sound killer in it's own way!

i would, but the CS-1 blows chunks so hard that i can't bother myself with it.

however, what i AM going to compare it to is the wavearts trackplug. have you used this thing? EQ, sidechain, gate, 2 comps and a limiter - like $150 and sounds bad ass.
