UA Lexicon 480L Native Version

The RMX16 isn't a UA developed plugin though. But yes, I would love to have it available natively as well. It's one of my fav reverbs.
I always thought it was... who is the maker? Usually, brands like Softube are mentioned, but can't find it on the page.

RMX16, DMX 15 80S and DFC Channel strip are AMS Neves own plugins. So the brand is mentioned. Though they collaborated with UA on them, but AMS Neve owns the code. They use the RMX16 code for their 500-series hardware unit as well.

which, despite being pointless for me, gives me GAS big time lol
Hah, yes! It’s so cool! but for the money it costs you could buy an octo and the plug-in and still have money to spare.
But yes, I’ve always loved the very 80s vibe of the RMX16. Looks like something Dr. Emmet Brown would have invented.

Thanks! Makes a lot of sense. I bet the native plug won’t be available them. I think the difference of the plug and 500 series is too much. Because of this, I may just buy a satellite instead, because I seriously love the RMX16,… It’s one of my goto sounds for the music i (want) to make. And also Ocean Way Studio. I like the other ones, but not as much as OWS.

How about a Studer A-80? The Ampex is cool, but maybe another deck?

Honestly, I would like to see some original plug-ins vs. models.

No. The model UA follows is right

I often work outside of the studio, and not having those plugins native is a work stopper
This and the lack of iLok computer based licence ! You have to be online to use UAD plugins if you don't have or want to use a dongle (and I don't want when I use my laptop on vacation, I only have 2 usb-c ports, 1 for charging and the other for soundcard). So I don't use any UAD plug in my template unfortunately.

I actually realized that myself not too long ago. When I had to work in the area without internet for few days, none of the UADx plugins in my session worked, because they "couldn't connect to UA connect".
Manufacturers like Universal Audio probably didn't realize that there are musicians around the world, some working in areas they won't imagine where there's no internet

Many folks here on this forum work professionally from areas that have spotty or practically non existent internet. They use an ilok dongle and suitable ‘hub’ if they need more ports.
Machine auth would be awesome but it’s not here currently.
