I OWN AN UAD- 1 STUDIO PAK. I'M USING A MAC G4 933 WITH OS 9 AND DIGITAL PERFORMER 3.11. I'M CHANGING TO OS X AND DIGITAL PERFORMER 4.6. IS THERE SOME KIND OF RECOMMENDATION TO DO THIS ? I APRECIATTE YOR COMMENTS.

UAD-1 CHANGE FROM OS 9 TO OS X

in my experience everything went smooth,
except none of my plugin presets translated over. that was in logic, so your mileage may vary.
i recommend installing os X along with your old 9, and dual-booting for any old sessions you may need to work with. i found that the easiest way to ensure i could get at my old songs until i had transitioned to X.

I apreciatte your help and your comments. Today I'm going to do this. I copy all my old stuff to an external hard drive and I'm going to keep all the OS 9 in the other Mac, and change to OS X in my new machine.

what about my authorizations ? I'm expecting that if I remove the software and the UAD-1 card like the manual explain in the chapter \"REMOVING UAD-1 POWERED PLUG-INS AND THE UAD-1 CARD\" I can keep my authorizations codes.
I don't know if I have to write my authorizatiosn and make the procces again or what. I apreciatte your comments.

Installing UAD-1 is easy, just download the authorisations from UA website after installing the UAD-1 software (driver/meter).
I'd contact UA for more tips about installation.
Don't forget to update OSX before installing programs then repair permissions.
Repair permissions after every update install.
