UAD-1 Driver Utility: REMEMBER PASSWORD feature request

It's a great thing that the UAD-1 Driver Utility allows me to unload the driver and put my Mac to sleep, but I it drives me a little nuts that I have to type my password every time I Unload. Couldn't a preference setting be added to not require a password? Or a checkbox to add it to the keychain?

Hi Andy,
The reason it does this is because the Driver Utility uses \"sudo\" to gain superuser privileges to unload/reset/load the driver. Because sudo is used, any other application that might want superuser privileges could get it without asking for your password (sudo has a timer, which I believe is like 5 minutes). So what we do is kill the timer after the driver is unload/reset/loaded so that no \"malicious\" software could run with superuser privileges without you entering your password. It might seem overly cautions, but we figure be safe rather than sorry.

If you would like to contact me directly via email (button below post) I can give you an applescript which will unload or load the driver. You can edit the script and put your administrator password in so it never asks for it. The script is \"official unsupported\" for use, but it works just as the Driver Utility does (which is also applescript based btw).
