UAD-1 in G4 then G5?

I'm thinking about going out this weekend and picking up a UAD-1 card for my rig. Just want to clarify that it works well in G4's:

G4
1.25 Ghz Dual
OSX.3
will be running with a MOTU PCI-324/2408mkII

Will it work with my rig?

Also in the next six months I'm going to be upgrading to a G5, will the UAD-1 card work in a new G5?

I have a G4, 466MHz Os 9.2, Motu PCI-324/2408mkII.
Works perfect without clicks/pops and nearly no host load.

They have some NEW info in the webzine over @ UA about G5 issue. It's all good for G4s. I'll get my G4 this week :wink: .

UAd-1 & G4's

UAD-1 rocks in G4's because Apple got the PCI-bus and firewire implementations right and UA's drivers rock in OS9 & now in OSX! Still think on balance, the dual 1Gig Quicksilver G4 is the best audio machine from Apple yet - quiet, fast and 100% compatible!

UAD-1 is completely compatible with all G5's, its just that its performance is sometimes not quite as good as in G4's because of idiosyncracies of Apples PCI-X implementation and the controller chip they chose for G5. The March webzine has the full scoop about what G5 is best and why.

That dual 3gig machine without the AMD controller must be coming?????
