wow, thanks for all the help, almost as helpful as UA is

oh wait...
Well Reaper is perhaps not widely used and some of us don't like to download software we do not need. Also some of us are on Macs.

So your attitude could perhaps use some adjustment.

Well I like to help out with whatever, it makes the world an easier place. Software doesnt begin to get safe and reliable till a lot of people give it a going thru. Seeing all sorts of people complain about x or y when they dont help out a little with z I have no sympathy, because it all works together

oh yeah, theres a mac version BTW

I was reading all about it on the website. It's nice to see the use of sidechaining signals in there. Only one question though, is that limited to the built-in compressor or does it indeed work with other plug-ins like Waves C1 Comp-Sc,Comp-Gate and so forth.

Fundy, each track in reaper has 64 internal track channels that can be sent, each with its own pan, volume and pre/post fx/ pre/post fader/pre/post channel pan plus phase to any and all other track channels at the same time

This brings it way outside of just sidechain abilities to full on patchbay setups. Hit view\\matrix to see a matrix of patch points and connections

Interesting. I tried Reaper briefly, but hadn't seen that. Thanks - I'll check it out.

thanks for the testing and it looks like were finally getting some response from UA! I think working UA support in reaper is soon in the bag :)

Its going great on my system as we speak

I'm seriously considering it as an alternative to Cubase or Sonar. If it's flexible as you say it is, I think at least it could co-exist along aside other project files without too much confusion.
