UAD-1 Software v4.5.0 has been officially released. Changes for this version include:

New equalizer plug-ins: UAD Neve 1081 and UAD Neve 1081SE
Full \"Touch Fader\" automation support
Single unified installer for all plug-in formats
Includes Version 2 of UAD VST to RTAS Adapter from FXpansion

Sweet! I just built a new dual boot (WinXP/XP64) E6300 Duo Core DAW. All my exisiting hardware has XP64 compatible drivers except for my UAD-1's. Looking forward to the public preview release. 8)

4.50 has caused my Logic 7.1 AU manager to crash. No way to validate the AUs. They keep crashing the app.

Running OSX 10.3.9
This didn't happen before when running UAD 4.1

Totally reproducable!

Hope there will be a fix soon. Anyuone else experiencing this with Logic 7.1/OSX 10.3.9

I'm also running OS X 10.3.9 (and we're posting this in the wrong forum, I know). DP4.61 passes all the plugs successfully but I had four crashes last night just running through them all to check that they instantiate properly (they do).

Automation still does not work for me on PT LE (windows xp) using a Mackie Control Universal. I'm sure that's something Digidesign isn't going to lift a finger about, but, I just discovered that all my plugin settings on a few sessions are now gone! I opened up a session where I had some 1073s and a couple of Cambridge plugs and they're now all set to \"flat\". For some reason, the settings for my 1176LNs are okay though.

It's okay though, I'm not mad at UA.

UA is almost like a dear friend or family member to me at this point. You know, like when someone comes over and spills red wine on your carpet and you just can't be mad at them? Well, I suppose I'll just have to spend some time mixing those tracks again.

So this occurs with sessions that were saved with v1.07ua RTAS adapted plugins and then opened with the v4.5.0 RTAS adapted (via installer) plugins?  If you save a new session (with v4.5.0 plugin) and re-open are the settings correct?

Also, please feel free to email me with more details regarding using the Mackie Control (in HUI mode I'm guessing) and automation not working.  If it's something on the UAD/Fxpansion side, I'd definitely like to get it resolved.

Problems with Pro Tools 7.1

Anyone else having this problem--installed v2 of the wrapper and then, when I went to detect and convert the plugs, the program went through a long line of errors and crashed. I went into Pro Tools, found the plugs in the right place (under wrapped plug-ins) but went to instantiate one and then PT itself crashed (not surprisingly).

Very bummed--everything worked like a charm before . It must be the new fxpansion program that put the spanner in the works.

Haven't even had a chance to try out the new neve plug-ins and their evaluation time is nearly expired.

same for me, all my 1073 settings in my Pro Tools sessions are gone since I installed 4.5. (I only checked the 1073s, that's the plug I use the most) Before that I was using 4.4.1 with VST to RTAS 2.0

I'm now switching back to 4.4.1, hope my settings will be back, if not I'll be in big trouble.

I'm disapointed because I really wanted to get the 1081

This 14 day trial was, and will always be a joke, as far as trial modes for propriety hardware is concerned.

I've said it, for so long... people have lives to live. Be more sensible, and turn around, and have a look at TC Powercore trials. Sheer pleasure!!! And a thoughtful move, considering people and their needs.


UAD trials are forced and therfore very disrespectful and disappointing :!: ... very selfish.
