UAD-1 won't load after 4.1.0 update.

Hi All,

Having a heck of a time getting my 1 UAD-1 card to \"reload.\" I lost all instances of my direct X plugs in SX after upgrading to 4.1.0.

Now after multiple attempts to (per e-mail tech support) remove the software from the device manager...then remove the program from \"add/remove programs,\" remove card and install driver, then reinstall card I can't get the card recognized!

I'm trying to use the old driver version 3.9.0 to salvage an almost completed album....Any suggestions?

I can't really offer any real advice other than you could try the following :-

1. Try re-installing V4.1 then un-installing it again once it's being recognised and finished installing properly

2. Try the UAD-1 in another slot.

3. Try the UAD-1 in another computer to be sure its not the card rather than the software.

4. If your on XP maybe system restore could save you.....


My final words would be this - WHY THE HELL DID YOU UPDATE SOFTWARE BEFORE YOU FINSHED YOUR CURRENT PROJECT/ALBUM??????

I presume you didn't read the 'readme file' about the V4.1 update which states that Dx support is no more which is why your in this mess in the first place.

Yeah, lesson learned...wanted to check out the multi-pressor plug for the mastering stage.

Oh well, trying to get the card to work on 3.9 as we speak.
