Hi there,
Been struggling to get any response from UA support on this issue after a week of waiting. Recently took part in a studio move and refurb for a client, which involved moving his UAD-2 Octo PCIe card from an old Mac Pro, to an external chassis (an OWC Flex 1U4, sitting in the x4 PCIe Lane). This went off flawlessly, and the card happily showed up and connected to my MBP during testing.
A week on however, the card no longer shows up on the system. The rear LED check light isn't turning on at all (where before it did the usual red/gleen flash, and then solid green on connect). The internal LED lights on the card are solid red (I presume indicators of rail voltages etc.), so the card is definitely getting power. The slot is not at fault, as other cards work perfectly in it. I attempted to reinstall the card in the previous rig, and the issue persists there as well - no outer LED whatsoever.
For reference, this rig is designed to work with an M3 MBP max spec, over Thunderbolt-4, running Sonoma 14.3.
Any ideas what we're looking at here? Is this a software confusion, or are we in hardware failure territory - and if the latter, why, when the card was happily running in its new home a week prior?
