UAD Apollo setup issues

Hi i bought an apollo twin x duo heritage edition. i connected it to my laptop and installed everything. however i dont know how to use it hahahah. i connected my headphones to the interface and the interface to my macbook . how do i choose the interface as output? i went into settings and changed it to the iterface but for some reason it doesnt work, when i play a youtube video the video stays frozen eventho it plays, very weird, can someone please help out, ty

i dont know, only tried safari so far, but makes no sense. also it didnt give any audio output. how do i set it up anyways? i mean i chose the interface as output device in the audio settings of the macbook, should it be done differently?

No, that's how you get system sound to come out of a UAD device.

Try Chrome.

i changed the thunderbolt to the original, works now.

i meant i used the original thunderbolt cable- before that i was using a different one
