Thank you for the upgrade 'deal' email I just got.
Timely, and decent price since I pretty much got the old one almost free with all the holiday bundle deals.
I knew I was saving my $25 coupon for something. So, upgrade for $24 is totally worth it.

No complaints.

From what I can see, the only difference is that X has a mix knob (and a different UI). Can't really find any other difference but will defer to UAD to confirm.

I'm keen to confirm X retains the ability for the user to define custom scales. Is anyone able to confirm? TIA

Just tried it, and can confirm yes to custom scales. I do like the new interface a lot better, something about the previous version was a bit annoying, this is a nice improvement since I have to use AutoTune literally every day. Going to do the same as OP since haven’t used that coupon yet, thanks for the tip

This will NEVER be native from Universal Audio. Go download it from the manufacturer at antarestech.com.

If you already own the original Autotune it didn't go anywhere. It's still available.

Agree with this 100%. I don't use it every day, but I did not like the previous interface and this version seems better to me.

edit: There is 0 difference in tracking sound or sound quality

Are you on Apple silicon native?

What happened iiuc was that Antares failed to upgrade the 'Antares Auto-Tune Realtime' plugin for Apple silicon. So those of us who purchased this plug-in and had failed to upgrade to 'Auto-Tune Realtime Advanced' when prompted were shit out of luck. Antares' fault you might say, but it was UA who sold me this plug-in (for a non-trivial sum) and not a word from them.

This said, I've now consulted my special UA marketing email folder and see that I did get an offer to 'upgrade to Auto‑Tune® Realtime X and get hit‑making vocals even faster with a sleek new interface, new dark/light mode, easy Undo, and Mix control. Seems almost too good to be true, and I'm quite impressed they know it's a leap year.
