UAD card died?

Hello,

Please allow me to intoduce myself. I'm a man without wealth or taste..

And without my UAD-1, it seems. I think my card has died. It just stopped working after having worked fine for about 6 months. I did not get any error messages or pop-ups, but when I check the UAD status monitoring programme it says that my card is not responding. I have tried the obvious; rebooting, re-install of drivers, reseating the card, and even tried the card in a different PC. Nothing, nada, zip.

Strange thing is that according to the hardware manager in XP the card should be working fine.

Am I missing something here? Should I even be paying attention to what Windows says?

I'm going to take the card back to the store tomorrow. Let them check it out.

Of course I'm in the middle of mixing a song... Oh, well.

If you have any other options that I could try, please let me know. I would really like to get this mix done.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

G

Thanks for the replies.

I took the card back to the store today. They will test it tomorrow and let me know.

ThomasV: I tried 2 different slots as well. Didn't work either.

I'm pretty sure the card itself has gone south. It 's just weird to me that XP does not seem to think so.
