UAD Console and outboard gear routing

I know this has been asked but I’m coming up short searching.
Inside console only Id like to send a signal to a rackmount guitar tuner. I basically just want a constant signal to the tuner, regardless what I do to the input the guitar is on.

id like to be able to mute the guitar in the console app, monitor from Pro Tools, but still have console sending the tuner a signal.

I’m using a x8p Line out 3 is going into the input of the tuner.

when I set the guitar track to output - line 3 in console I still hear it through the monitor. With and without mirror to monitor clicked I still hear it.

that and the tuner only receives signal if it’s unmuted. How can I monitor through pro tools and still output a signal to output line 3 while the console track is muted?

Connect the tuner to a Cue that is mirrored to an out. This will get signal with the Console channel muted, DAW closed, etc.

I sent hi z channel 1 to the cue mix and mirrored the cue output to line out 3. That gets signal to the tuner but if i mute the track or pull the fader down it stops sending signal to the cue

Cues are pre fader so that should not be happening. And it's not what I see here. Can you make a vid of this happening?

I was able to get it to work when mirroring the cue output to Line 3/4 by clicking CUE 1 instead of MIX under source in the CUE output menu. However now the singal is coming back into line 3 input and giving me level on track 3 inside console. Why is this?

Do you have a virtual channel coming back to Console from the DAW??

Make a vid of this, we'll see the issue right away.

Check the normals on the bay. Mirroring to out 3 is likely normaled to in 3.

You can ignore or "dead patch" input 3 with a patch cable.

The patchbay was the missing variable.
Im getting level on analog 3 in normal/half normal/ and thru. Hell it’s doing it even when just outputting. Pulled all cables from the output of the bay going back into the interface. Right now it’s just a single DB 25 cable going into the top of the back of the bay. Coming out of jack 3 on top going into jack 9 on bottom that has a single TRS cable going to the input of the tuner. Why does console think something’s coming back into input 3? When I switch analog 3 in console to Mic the signal stops.

On the back of the Apollo, what's plugged into input 3?
