UAD Cpu meter

hi guys,

today i have installed a second card but.....the Uad cpu doesn't show anything when I put the plugs in!

Only the memory goes up

What is going on please?

G4 1.25MP/ 10.3.9/Dp 4.61/1.5g ram/UAD 4.1

before installing the second card eveything was fine with UAD 4.0

now I have that problem with both the 4.0 and 4.1

Did you already try to reseat the PCI cards? sometimes its just a matter of things not quite sitting in there right.

Also try deleting the Drivers completely and then reinstall.

Don't forget to repair permissions.

Don't leave us hanging. Did reseating or reinstalling the drivers (4.1) do the job? I just ordered another card (to make 2 total) and would like to know what/how you solved this issue....IF you solved this issue.

Hi Yiannis,have you download your software authorization file from your UAD account and then load that file again(In UAD -1 Meter)?.
Just a thought…

yes I have.

In the UAD's system info I can see both cards and at authorization window its authorized for all cards :roll:

Hi guys,

everything is working now!
I didn't do enything special!
except that I unistall all the UAD stufff and install it again!
then the cpu came alive but there was many cracles and pops!

I called UAD but they couldn't help technically but magically something happended and the pops and crackles gone :?: :!: :?: :!:

Now it works great and i 've manage to get 13 Fairclild's and 5 Cambridge eq's.
Just for testing :wink: :wink:

UAD is helping anyway!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys,

hard to say this but crackles and pops are back.

forgot to say but i use MOTU PCI 324. :roll:

I have change the cards into pci slots.
had a improvement but the crackles still here.
when i switch to the build in audio on the mac everything is ok.
when i switch to pci 324 .... what a mess.

if i pull out one UAD card everything in working fine thru the pci 324.

so is it the PCI 324 that gives me trouble?Should I switch to PCI 424?

PCI-324 has never worked properly under OS X. I used to get endless kernel panics whenever I tried to play audio in any application other than DP. Once I replaced it with the 424 all the problems stopped.

Did you ever contact Motu tech support about this problem?

Anyway, just get in touch with your Motu dealer and tell him you want to upgrade from 324 to 424. Make sure they supply the version that fits both the G4 and the G5 (there was a G4-only version made which is still sitting on some dealers' shelves). Search the tech notes at the Motu website for info on how to tell them apart physically.
