UAD % CPU usage

I am using the UAD-1 studio pak on a MAC G5 1.8 dual, 3 gigs RAM, Cubase SX 3, OS X 10.3.6. On one of my songs i have the 1176 on about 4-5 tracks as an insert and the cambridge on a couple and am up to 70% usage

my questions is, i def need much much more in terms of effects and am surprised i can use so little from one card??

does this sound right?? and is why people have 2-3 cards??

i love the sounds etc and figure the comp's/limiters would use more MEM, but this doesn't get me halfway through a song


any feedback i would apprciate
