Sorry - didn't make myself very clear there at all!
Plec's presets are in the old style .fxp format.
Cubendo 4.x uses VST3 protocol now, and the preset extension is now .vstpreset instead.
When loading a bank of UA presets, there is an option to convert the presets to VST3 standard. Whilst this may seem pointless I can assure you it is actually seriously cool, as when you are looking for a sound the old way of doing it is to load the preset, hit play & see what it sounds like. If you do not like it, then you load another one & try again.
Under VST3 you simply solo the track (or not when mastering) and go to load a preset from the soundframe component of Cubendo.
This allows you - whilst the track is playing - to scroll through the preset list & have each one instantly applied so you can hear it's sound immediately - and if you do not like it you just hit the down arrow & go to the next. When you find a good starting point you just click anywhere off the browser & there it is - all loaded & still playing.
It has saved me hours on the last album....
