UAD + DP 4.5 = Beachball. Help! (please)

After using UAD with DP for a while with no issues, I finally had to reinstall OSX 10.2.8. Ever since, I can't use my UAD plug ins. DP verifies them but I can;t change settings without getting the beachball.

I have removed DP and installed it again. I have the most recent UAD software. I just can't seem to solve this problem. What do I need to do?

Any help would be appreciated immensely as I am dead in the water until I get this resolved.

I had the same problem (beachball in DP + UAD).
Upgrading to Quicktime 6.xx solved t instantly.

If you are on OS X 10.2.x and are using the AudioUnit plugins, make sure to have at least Quicktime version 6.5 installed. This will fix the problem with freezing when you move a control.
