what "sucks" are such posts...

I have had no problems with 3.9 nor with 4.0. It may help IF you post DETAILS about your setup and application use...

HTH,
.c

ok - Specs: (but the system was running and running and rinning, only since 4.0 it has this problem).

Athlon 2800+
2 UAD1

authorized PlugIns: 1176LN, Cambridge, Fairchild, LA2A, Dreamverb, Pultec-Pro plus the standart plugs.

Mainboard: Asus A7N8x-E Deluxe
Soundcard: RME HDSP 9652

1,5 Gbyte RAM

Min_Gnt - 64

Sequencer: Cubase SX 3.1.0

But - as i said before - this configuration worked superb.

Ehm? Didn´t you read the first posting? I´ve got that \"Uad is not responding\" - Error sometimes. In case you have this error, some Plugs of the UAD are switched off, although the meter show 15 to 30 % only. You can´t use the uad then. Theres a little freeze of the sound and after that a popup-Window accurrs with \"Uad is not responding\" - If you search here in the forum you will find several postings about this topic.

Are you shure the older plugins are removes sometimes when you have moved the older uad plugins to a different lacation both versions are installed. To cure this, remove all uad plugins in your vst folder and reinstall from the v4.0.
Good luck!

check you PCI latencies, especially the GFX card...

The latencies didn´t change - the uad worked perfect with earlier versions. Aside from this i don´t know, how to change GFX-Card latencies. I guess this is only possible with the uad card, i don´t see any options for this on the graphics-card. I need a fix of the software or can anybody tell me, how to downgrade safe to lets say 3.7?

It happens several time a day, when i´m working with cubase SX (the 4th time today) - In Channels or Groups with UAD-PlugIns sometimes you hear a boost-Note/Tone (100dB) suddenly without warning - thats not good for mey ears and for my monitors - Why doesnt any UAD-employee answere here? How can i fix my problems, i only want to work nd have a nice workflow... )c:

Well - the spontanious notes and sounds (100dB) still come, but shorter than before, the \"non-responding error\" didn´t occur the last 2 hours. Help me, UAD-people!

I'd suggest calling UAD directly as this is a user group and as such not a direct line to UAD.
Add that to the fact that it's the Thanksgiving Holiday 4 day weekend here in the U.S..................

4.0

Hi there,

I have the same problem, in 4.0 with rendering in wave lab and freezing a track in Cubase SX 3.1.1 there will be pops and cracks in the final file.

Finally I solved the problem and maybe this will help you guys too.

Go to the control panel in windows XP and double-click system, then go to hardware setup, select computer and change it to MPS multiprocessor PC.

The rest will work out fine.

Every device will get it’s own IRQ number and then it works great to me!

Best regards,
Dave

re

What went wrong?

You have to do it when you install a new Windows XP.

Sorry, I didn’t mention.

I don't know your setup so I can't give guarantees.

Dave
