UAD not working on my G4/ Logic/ digi 001 / osX

Hi

I had problems with my old mac on os9, but it was workable. With my 1.25 dual G4 running osX,at my home studio I cannot run UAD at all. It works for about 1 bar before I lose all sound. Logic then tells me there is a problem synching midi with audio, and I have to reboot the computer. I am seriously thinking of selling the card, but I know the plug ins are good. I used them on a production for EMI Uk recently at Abbey Rd alongside pro tools plug ins, and UAD hardware, and I was pleased with the results .

Anyone had similar problems/ fixes?

yes its the 001 not the cards

I thionk that error means that your digidesign coreaudio is at a different sample rate than logic

alos with a 001 only expect about a 80- 90 % of your card to work

hi Ben,

What buffer setting are you running in Logic? Can you list your Configure settings from your UAD-1 meter? What version of OS X are you running?

Thanks for your help thus far.

I recently updated my core audio to version 6.52 ( wasn't working under previous version either). i am running oSX 10.3.4. Logic 6.33 . Buffer setting is usually 1024 or 512 . I have also updated my UAD drivers to the latest version.

Forgot to list my config settings from my UAd meter.
Limit Cpu load is unticked.
User interface : user host mode is ticked.
PCi bus: Mn_GNT: 128

AMD- 81311 compatible DMA : unticked

Hi Ben,

Change your MIN_GNT: setting to 64. We have found that this seems to give the better performance for most users.
