UAD vs DAW Monitoring: MIDI to Synths.

When I send MIDI from Live to synths, monitoring from UAD is out of sync with Ableton. The only fix I found was to just monitor through Live by using an external instrument device as it keeps the monitoring in time. All is well at the start of projects but I still run into latency making it really difficult to jam for new synth parts. "Reduced Latency for Monitoring" or making sure no latency inducing plugins are on that track or master track makes no difference.

If I am just recording a synth's audio input, the audio is printed correctly in Ableton just as I played/heard it when monitoring through UAD. I wish I could still directly monitor with UAD. I guess this seems to be more of a DAW issue than it is with UAD but figured I'd see if anyone here has any experience and advice.

I'd try turning up the buffer in Ableton (try 512 or 1024) and also turn on "Reduced Latency for Monitoring" in Ableton as well.

The going out-of-sync can happen when your buffer is too low and your system can't keep up (or even just has a small hiccup).

Also, when you change the latency in Ableton, restart Ableton before you continue.
