UADx only?

Hi,
I have a three month trial of Spark.
I love both Sound City Studios and the Capitol Mastering Compressor so I decided to buy them both (Bargain at $99 for the two).
I thought that I would then have the choice of using them either as UADx plugins or as UAD plugins within Luna, meaning that I could choose to run them through my Apollo DSP to keep down the load on my Mac's CPU.
Am I wrong?
When I try to insert them as plugins in Luna I only appear to have the UADx versions. Not UAD.

Cheers.

Both of them are native/UADx only.

The sub only has uadx not uad2 licenses: you only get those if you buy the uad2 plug, if it has also been ported, then you also get the uadx version.

No they are not. UADx are native and UAD-2 are for the Apollo/Satellite cards with Shark DSP's.
I run both in a same session. The status at the bottom of Luna will tell you about the Render, RenderIO and Memory % used from your computer AND about the usage of your DSP's and their related PGM and Memory. If there is a UAD-2 logo at the bottom left of a plugin, then it runs on the DSP's (see yellow highlights in screenshot). However, you can only use UADx (native) in the TAPE, CONSOLE and SUMMING sections even if you already own the same UAD-2 (DSP) plugins. Hope UAD will take the time to integrate the UAD-2 versions the plugins API Vision Channel Strip, the Studer A800, etc.

With all respect, I am using UAD since 2017 and my post is totally correct. What would I win spreading misinformation !!!! Try to read specs with more attention by yourself instead on relying on multiple posters.

You seem to know more about this than Universal Audio itself. Please let us in on it. Where do you get your knowledge from?

Sound City Studio and Capitol Mastering Compressor are absolutely native only
I know, but it seems that the above answer is not an answer to the question posed.
Which comes across as a bit confusing.

NO NEED TO BE SARCASTIC. I ONLY MADE AN ATTEMPT TO CLARIFY THIS TOPIC.

However, you think you have the truth because some forum members said so about and you just relayed info without checking and then aggressing me for spreading misinformation (… Sound City Studios and the Capitol Mastering Compressor are native only, as stated by multiple posters already). Of course I will never be more knowledgeable than UAD 😂 At least I can search, read, compare, and sort out the exact information out of various sources.
Perhaps you don't have UAD cards/dsp's and you recently landed in the UAD world using Luna without UAD hardware and so skipping some explanations from UAD website, from UAD manuals or UAD youtube videos.

SOME FACTS BELOW

A) Today there are 35 UADx plugins for LUNA
that run on a computer CPU.
I personally own 131 UAD-2 plugins as well made for the SHARK DSPs. (I own 1 Apollo Twin MKII Thunderbolt2 and 2 Satellite Octo Thunderbolt2 = 18 Shark DSP's in total)

B) In LUNA, you can see and use both separately.
On UAD website you can show all plugins or natives only

C) Here is a 3 steps demo on switching from an UADx plugin to it's UAD-2 version if you own it, directly from Luna:
Example: from dbx160 (UADx) to dbx160 (UAD-2)

DEMO Step 1 - Insert dbx160 (UADx)

DEMO Step 2 - Choose the dsp version UAD-2 if you own it
DEMO Step 3 - dbx160 DSP version has replaced the UADx version

D) At the bottom left of Luna, the status bar provides monitoring info about CPU, RAM and DSP usage based on recent plugin instantiation.

E) Currently the CONSOLE, TAPE and SUMMING sections can only run UADx plugins (native). Lets cross fingers UAD can integrate the DSP versions asap to relieve the CPU

They are native (UADx) only, sorry.
You cannot switch to UAD-2 versions, because these do not exist for Sound City Studios or the Capitol Mastering Compressor.

No they are not. UADx are native and UAD-2 are for the Apollo/Satellite cards with Shark DSP's.

The Sound City and Capital Mastering Comp plugins are native (UADx) only. There is no DSP/UAD-2 version of these plugins.
