I get the following message whenever I try to use my UAD-1 card,
\"Unable to communicate with UAD hardware\". When I go to Device Manager in windows it tells me the hardware is there and working fine.
My setup is...
ASUS A8R-MVP motherboard
AMD 3700+
1G Ram
Video: eVGA 256-P2-N529-AX Geforce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCIe-x16

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ron

What's shown in the UAD meter? System Info and Authorizations? All look as it should?

I get the message when I open the meter. When I look at configuration information it shows \"Card1 OK\". But when I look at authorizations it says that there is no card present...

Did you register the card with UA? Once there and registered you download the software Authorizations.. You DL a .reg file and run it and you're good to go.. Go here if you haven't already:

I'm all authrized. It worked on my other (temporary) computer. The authorizations page says that no card is present--UAD software is not seeing the card (apparently).

The problem you described happened to me when I added another card. I just uninstalled the software, cleared the registry, reinstalled, rebooted, re-downloaded the .reg file.............and all was OK.

If it's a new computer for your cards, and the above doesn't work I would try moving the cards around different slots if available.

I'm having the excact same trouble. My card works perfectly in my main machine but it wont work in my other computer. I installed the drivers and re-booted but when I put the card in, the computer wont start. I've tried another pci slot and made sure the card is in firmly but the computer still wont start up unless I take the card out??
