Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt 3 Option Card Question

I had a specific question about a product that I own. I own an Apollo quad Firewire interface.

My question is, if I buy a "Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt 3 Option Card", will my interface be compatible with modern Mac OS software?

I believe there's an exception with the TB3 card and the original silverface Apollo 16, but not with the regular sliverface Apollo. That one should work fine and you'll be prompted to flash the firmware.

I have an Apollo Quad SF that shipped with the TB2 card and upgraded it to TB3, it works no problem.

But the matrix below says Apollo Quad are only compatible with TB2? Is there a diff between Apollo Quad FW & Apollo Quad TB2 that would avoid the former to work with TB3?

It seems for sure that Apollo16 mk1 won't work with TB3.

Hey, happy holidays

I was wondering if you had any luck updating the UAD Software Installer from 11.4.0 to v11.5.2? I too run silver quads w option (TB3) cards.

I am afraid to update to 11.5.2 before asking around. However, I did update the UAD Console to v1.2.1 and it seems to be working perfectly fine. I am running OS Monterey
