Using an Inline Preamp before Mic Modeling? (SC-1 w/ Hemisphere)

I have a FetHead Phantom I had been using on a previous mic before I upgraded to this one, and from what i've seen from frequency charts, and what i've heard from my own use, it doesn't really alter the sound that much. I'll insert a image of the frequency chart, low res but it's the only one I could find. Anyway, I'm wondering if this will affect the Mic Modeling in any meaningful way? I would like to keep as true to the mic models as I can, but at the same time I also don't want to have to be turning up the input on my Arrow so high 1717131460372.png . The main thing I worry about is if having a preamp before, or even in the unison slot, will change the tone of the mic modeling.

SC-1 requires phantom. I'm not sure if that will pass through your inline amp.

However, what's your reason for wanting to use it? The SC-1 should be fairly high output.

Although the inline amp is pretty flat, it will alter the impedance, which is not ideal for modeling.

I personally don't think you'll need it, nor would I use it with the SC-1.

It does pass through, since the inline pre is meant for condensers. The impedance is definitely something of note now that you mention it.
I find myself getting a bit paranoid about having to turn the mic input gain up too much on any interface 😅 always worrying the signal to noise ratio.

Having said that though, hmm... Wouldn't this also apply to the unison preamp plugins as well then? I've heard some from UA claim the difference should be minimal at best in terms of it affecting the modeling. Currently I use the neve 1290a unison preamp, but I still feel like it's technically wrong to have the preamp before the mic modeling.
