Using Apollo x8 with hardware in Logic

I just got an Apollo x8 and I cannot wrap my head how to use outboard gear in Logic. I have a hardware compressor connected to the Apollo's 3/4 in/out. In Logic I select the I/O utility plugin but I have to set it to in/out 5/6 in order for audio to play through.

Also, is there a way I can monitor the hardware thru Logic rather than Console (I have plugins on my master bus that I'd like to be monitoring through)? Using this routing, no plugins after I/O will work

Maybe this will help??

I still cannot figure this out and its driving me INSANE

I have a stereo compressor connected to the Apollo's 5-6 ins/outs. Logic uses output 1-2 for monitor output, so within Logic I have to set the output to 7-8 (even though its physically connected to the Apollo's 5-6).

For whatever reason, Logic is ONLY sending through output 8, nothing through output 7. I know everything's physically connected correctly because in Console I can route audio to 5-6 and it goes through both of the compressors channels just fine

Still can't figure this out, would love some help

The solution was unlinking channels 5/6 in Console
