Using Mbox w/ 2 UAD-1'a and Logic Pro 7.1

New Dual 2.0, 2gb Ram, 10.4.2, MBox, Logic 7.1, (2) UAD-1's with version 3.9.

Is anyone using this set up?
My Motu 896HD just went south and the Mbox is my backup card. I've never used it before with the above mentioned set up and having MAJOR digital noise after a few bars with my current track. It's like the Mbox is loosing sync or dropping the driver. I have to quit Logic and restart the comp in order for it to resolve. It only happens when using the Plate 140 (so far). I take the plug in out of the chain and everything is cool. Once I put it back into the chain....poof....craps out.

It didn't do this with my 896HD, so I'm thinking it's the MBox. Anyone else having this prob or has had it in the past? BTW, I've tried both 512 and 1024 buffers.

I think digi have intentinally made their products not work the uad-1 and poco

Great....so you think the same would be true with a 002? I was considering getting one and unloading the 896HD.

I had a 001 and an AmIII card ( both pci based ) so using drivers for usb and firewire might be different but as I stated I think its intentional

ask some 002 people who use logic how that runs ( i cant say )
but if I were you Id at least consider the focusrite saffire ( soon to ship i believe ) or if you need more inputs the fireface or something
