VST conflict with 10.3.9

I just updated to 10.3.9 and can't open DP anymore.

I did the following
-Trashed DP preferences “Crash”
-SHIFT key held down while starting DP “No Crash”
-Pulled the Components folder out “Crash”
-Pulled the VST Wrapper folder out “Crash”
-Pulled the Powercore folder out “Crash”
-Pulled the Mas folder out “No crash, but it disabled all my plugs in DP regardless of format, VST, AU, Mas”??
-Pulled the MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle out and I got this message “The following effects could not be found”, UAD Fairchild, Character (mono), UAD Fairchild (mono to stereo), TC ChorusDelay (stereo), Master X5 48k (stereo), TC MegaReverb (stereo),VSS3.vst (mono to stereo) “No Crash”

This would mean that there is a conflict between “MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle & VST”. What I don’t understand is that it did not disable my Mas plugs nor all my vst plugs??

:x

I'm guessing the VST Wrapper you mentioned is the Audioease VST-MAS wrapper? The only one that makes perfect sense is removing the MAS folder, not only would this not load any of the MAS plugins into DP, but it also wouldn't load the Audioease VST wrapper (which is a MAS bundle) it would also not load any AU plugins as they are loaded through the MAS AU support.bundle shell.

I've been going OK with 10.3.9 so far, my guess is some permissions maybe got screwed up with the update. Try booting from your OS X installer CD and opening Disk Utility (when the Installer is going, from the Installer menu, select Open Disk Utility) and repair the permissions for your system drive. Also, it couldn't hurt to run the DP 4.5 installer (or 4.52 updater if you are on 4.52) again if the permissions thing doesn't change anything.
