VST-RTAS Wrapper V2 incompatible with Pro Tools 7.3 ?

I have recently upgraded?????? :roll: from PT HD 6.7 to 7.3.

With that installing the new VST-RTAS Wrapper. BIG MISTAKE.

Problems are:
UAD-1 (2) losing connection
CPU Spikes
Only able to use 75% of UAD card.

This never happend under version 1 of the wrapper or is it 4.6.0 that is the problem?

I have looked at the FXpansion website and many users seem to find incompatibility troubles with PT 7.3.

Is anyone else having problems under PT 7.3 ??

UA Can something be done about this before I have to sell my card's.

I am using :

PT HD 7.3.1 cs2 (OSX 10.4.8)
Mac G4 dual 1.25 (1.7g RAM)
UAD 4.6 (2 UAD-1 Card's)

As far as I'm aware, there are some tweaks you can make to the UAD setup to make performance smoother with small buffer sizes -- it won't make the latency /much/ better, but it will mean lower CPU load and less drop-outs. You need to contact UAD tech support to get the right settings for your machine.


So I guess they've passed the buck to UA.

Does anyone here know what these settings may be.

I did email support at UA regarding my problems with UA 4.6 and my reply was to install UA 4.6 :?

I was running UAD 4.5 with PT HD 7.2 cs2 with great results. (4 UAD cards in an Avid exp chassis, HD process+Accel +avid bridge to chassis in G5). Once I upgraded to UAD 4.6 I started having some issues with connection loss.
I don't think it's a 7.3 PT issue as the UAD software was the only thing I changed.
When I get a moment to breathe I plan on calling UAD to discuss this.
