VST3 vs AU & Native to DSP UAD plugins

A couple of questions for the gurus here! Apologies if this has already been answered.
Is there any advantage to using the new version VST3 versions of the DSP plug-ins over the AU versions when on my Mac? I generally update my system only when I want a new plug-in that requires the new version. My computer is still on OAS 11.6

Will the new native plugins ever be ported over to the DSP UAD system?

Thanks

I've personally always used VST 3, but there are some interesting developments in AU plugins that allow better access to Apple Silicon CPUs.

I have a plate reverb plugin by a company called UVI that behaves much better (around half the CPU) as an AU than a VST3 and the developer advised there is better access to using the speed of the computer that doesn't exist in the VST 3 framework yet.

They've approached Steinberg about this so not sure what will happen in the future.

For now I'm still sticking with VST 3 but ... maybe I'll do some trails at some point to see if there's a difference across the board. It's possible not all developers are aware of it.
