Wavelab rendering and Multiband issues

OK

I have Wavelab 5.10b.
When I use the UAD-1 mastering bundle the Multiband seems sto create a gating effect at the end of fade outs.

(44.1Kz - 24bit resolution)

I use the compressor and expansion selections in Multiband
I have never engaged the gate portion and can't see ever using it.

On a fade out I get an unwanted 180ms of silence on the last 3sec of the fade tail.
Oddly enough it can easily be recreated at the same spot every render on the same file, but not on all files to be mastered in my session. Meaning what's strange is that not every file has this problem.

Taking the Multiband out of the plugin chain always fixes the prolem

I have reinstalled V4.3 rebooted and authorized.

The demo version didn't do this, and that's what sold me on Mastering edition.

Chain in Wavelab Plugins:
Precision EQ,
Multiband,
Precision Limiter
UV22 dither to 16bit

Anyone else???

I once had a similar problem using Wavelab 4 and the PEQ demo. The rendered version contained short gaps for some files only!

I saved all plugin settings individually and opened my processing chain in Cubase and eported the files from there - everything was alright. That's not the way it should be I guess, but my project had to be finished quickly forcing me to go this way around (after toggling the uads through all combinations of PCI slots without even having shared IRQs for the uad cards before). Odd things happen sometimes, never had this problem again through the last year or so. Correlated only to some certain files too?!?!?

Give it a try in your sequenzer. If it's gonna work there you can at least be sure that your DAW configuration is ok.

Ok UAD Techs listen up I'm not alone on this

So it happened in Wavelab6 as well!?
I use Wavelab 5 on the Mastering computer it only has 1 UAD-1 card my main computer has 2 UAD-1 cards for Nuendo

I did, with no choice, finish my session in Nuendo,
I need the metering within Wavelab so Nuendo gets the result but without the spectral reference

It also happened a week later on another session

I can only switch to a new PCI slot, but that is not an official solution. If UAD support can could be onboard with this one. They may offer a software solution.

Thanks for the tip

Not yet, just upgraded 4 weeks ago from 4 > 6 without problems.

Same for me. A little annoying to change hosts "in process" just for (re-)metering :( ...and even more bothering with clients sitting in your back (how to tell them your system works extra-stable...)
