Waves brings SSL to us

This is amazing. If you have never heard SSL EQ and compressors before you are in for a treat. Waves always does a great job with their plug ins and they worked with SSL on this. This is just awesome and yes its worth ever penny. At least for us Native guys.

well you could use it DSP on the APA units.... BUT WAVES totally fucked the APA units up, because the latency is dynamic (causing delay compensation issues), and they don't support automation.

gawd... WAVES sux.... even if their plugins sound great, they never fucking work.

Staying at 44, I have enough power on my Pent IV 2.8 with 2 gigs of ram. I am pretty excited about these new plug ins. I only use plug ins at the mixing stage not recording, so I don't have problems with latency.

This is suppose to be a professional forum, could you spear us with such language.

Waves issues:
1 - Dumping HD authorization and forcing existing users who had authorized to HD to use iLOK.
2 - only giving updated with the WUP.
3 - releasing new versions only after existing WUP expires
4 - being far too expensive compared with others
5 - not really being all that good anyway - I have SSL EQ in URS for a fraction of the money, as well as the Buss Compressor/Limiter.

No thanks - although the last time I said \"never again\" as after v4.
I weakened & bought the 360 bundle, which is not all that. The Steinberg Surround Edition is far better.

I'll be sticking with URS & UAD-1 with those glorious Neve emulations, that could well mean another UAD-1 for me.
Hell - once they start shipping, it will be another UAD-1.
