Weird Issue after Update to UAD 11.0.1 - playback Silent unless I record enable a track...? And even more weirdness!

OK - hoping this is just some setting somewhere that I'm suddenly missing. Here's what's happening:

1. When I play a session in LUNA (apollo x4 connected), everything is silent.
2. If I record enable a track (click the red dot button), I can hear everything play back just "fine".
3. However, if I actually try to record on the record enabled track (i.e. hit "record" instead of just "play") then everything is silent except for the instrument that I'm recording (even the CLICK goes silent).

Any ideas? Thanks for your help!!

Additional information:

1. When I hit "play" the level meters on all the tracks are still moving. Just no sound coming out unless I record enable a track.
2. When I hit "record" the metronome clicks for the intro bar (i.e. before it's rolling) and then the downbeat of the 1 - and then goes silent.
3. When I switch to Core Audio as the Hardware, everything works as expected (i.e. I can play just fine, record just fine, and monitor playback while I'm recording just fine.

So this all happens when the APOLLO is the hardware. Ugh.

Any thoughts on what could be happening here Drew?

At first I thought it was an issue with having unplugged my apollo - where maybe the "Record Mute" was still set to "on" somehow - even though I plugged the apollo back in. But that's not it - can confirm that I have Record Mute set to "off" when Core Audio is selected. And of course that preference goes away when the apollo is plugged back in anyway. @UniversalAudio

OK - I figured this out. Not sure if I should leave the post up or not...here's what was happening:

Even though I had everything configured correctly in LUNA, I got the idea to open Console and see if anything weird was going on there. Well...sure enough...for some reason in the I/O Matrix in Console there were no outputs configured, only inputs. I chose "Default" in the I/O presets, and that populated the outputs. And...guess what...everything started working normally again!

There were outputs configured in LUNA's preferences (again, just the default), but it seems like Console had a different set of I/O settings that were overriding what was in LUNA. (Does that make any sense?)

Anywho - hope this helps someone. And I'm back in business.

Weird stuff for sure. Thanks for putting this out there.
Someone else will, at some point, undoubtedly see this same thing.

Hi. Sorry to jump on this slightly old thread. I posted similar about the same thing but had no responses. Did you manage to work out what the issue was and how to solve it? It’s annoying not being able to label my ins and outs as what I would like and having to use the default IO labels.

The issue seems to be something between the I/O Matrix with Luna and in Console. I haven't figured it out past that. You are reminding me, however, to submit this as a bug report using the "Feedback" button - and hopefully that'll be helpful to someone somewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yeah I submitted a bug report too. Fingers crossed for next update

I had this same problem last year. Deleting prefs was the solution back then.
