Wet solo setting not copied between UAD-2 and UADx

Hi,

When one copy plugin settings of Galaxy Tape Echo, Pure Plate, Capitol Chambers etc..., the "Wet Solo" settings is not kept when applied on UADx version.

@UniversalAudio : is it volontary or a bug ?
Technically they are similar, but they are not the same thing.Because they are uadx (native) and Apollo (dsp).

i can confirm, i just tested and also on my system with pure plate and galaxy echo

Copy settings from UAD-2 to UADx - Wet Solo does not get applied
Copy settings from UADx to UAD-2 - Wet Solo does not get applied

but also does not get applied when settings are copied from UAD-2 to UAD-2 and UADx to UADx

so perhaps this is on purpose?

OS: Windows

But I am interested in hearing arguments against this.

Please share any reasoning you might have for wanting it to behave differently with regard to Copy/Paste. I can see the utility myself.

It makes sense when plowing through presets, but perhaps not in the C/P use case.

when i copy preset settings there are typically 2 reaons for me
a) replace an UAD-2 plugins for an UADx plugin to save DSP power
b) copy the plugin settings from one channel to another channel because i want identical settings
for both of these use cases i would want to apply the Solo Wet/Dry settings too

but like you said, when browsing through presets, i find it way more useful when the Wet Dry Button is locked and is not getting exchanged by the preset

PS. i also did some further testing, and its the same behaviour on Lexicon 224, Capitol Chambers and Hitsville Reverb

i never noticed this before, perhaps because i run my reverbs almost exlusivly on effect tracks with Wet Solo enabled

but still, good to know

Sir, I also have a problem on Windows. If I put on aux Realverb Pro in console, and after i take it out,my console automatically crash and restart the audio interface. Ideas?

As mentioned, this is all by design, so that's expected.

Be sure to get a ticket open with Support, they'll have things for you to try. Go to help.uaudio.com, click on the blue Support bot and type “create ticket”

Same boat. I would DEFINITELY expect and want copy and paste to copy all settings and paste all settings, including the Wet Solo status.
I hadn't noticed it because that's my default - fully wet and usually Wet Solo also enabled by default.

This is currently as designed and intended.
I expected that all settings must be copied, as almost anyone I think. Having a dry/wet setting directly in the plugins is sometimes handy, instead of setting up an aux track. So if I choose to set an UAD-2 plugin to do dry/wet, I expect that it should keep this parameter and value while copying the settings.

What was your motivation in choosing to allow copying all parameters but the wet solo ? I can't figure it out.

As mentioned, it's disconnected from the other parameters (ie it's not saved with presets) to facilitate browsing.

Also as mentioned, I am interested in hearing alternate viewpoints. Thanks for contributing.
