What can I do if I have duplicate UAD-1 plugins?

Due to the DSP hungry nature of the UAD-1 card I need to get another one. If I buy a second hand one that comes with extra plugins that I've already got will I be able to sell them separately but still retain the card? In other words can you assign the license for a plug in to another user? Or is there any extra hidden advantage no-ones told us about in having 2 of the same plugs?!!

Nope you can't sell the plugs

Just buy the card pack with the least amount of plugs bundled. Isn't that the project pack???

thanks, I was confused because I saw someone selling one on ebay and he said if the price went high enough he'd include an extra plugin. I'm wondering how he could have sold the card and held back a plugin. A dodgy sales technique then?

the seller is probably mistaken. when you sell the plugins it's either all of the plugins beyond the basics that you own or none at all.

So are you saying that if you sell a card it's possible to hold back all the extra plugins that you've bought but still sell the card with the standard included ones? What can you do with the ones you don't sell?That sounds odd?

you can keep them for your PCIe card. but to keep them and get rid of all UAD-1's would be kinda stupid.
